The Cover-Up: The Continuing Story on the Murder of Steven Barrier, Jr.

A police officer answering a call yesterday, July 1, confirmed 12 Stamford Policemen had been removed from duty with a question, asking, “How did you hear that?”  The citizen who asked if this was true declined to answer.  The unanswered questions still demanding answers go back to October 23, 2019, and the still unexplained death in police custody of Steven Barrier, Jr

As Stamford, Connecticut continues in a state of conflicting reports and uncertainty, next door in Norwalk, the NAACP organized a ZOOM town hall for local police chiefs suited to this age of COVID-19.  Stamford was not there to answer questions, though the Stamford Police Department is the police department in Connecticut most in need of being thoroughly examined.

     Police Chiefs participating included John Lynch, Wilton; Donald Anderson, Darien; Foti Koskinas, Westport; Edwin Henion, New Weston; and Thomas E. Kulhawik, Norwalk, next door to Stamford were there; however, and the hanging fire issues still intensifying from the wrongful death, many now calling it a murder, of Steven Barrier, Jr., still burns.

     Yet the person who should be the best informed on the Barrier case was sitting in on the ZOOM event. That is then Stamford/Norwalk State’s attorney Richard Colangelo, who issued the first news release on the death of Steven Barrier the day after Barrier died in police custody, October 24, 2019. Colangelo has access to updates which remain confidential, but should be public.

  As the group spoke and answered questions, what was also ignored was the oath taken by all police at every level, local to national, originated in conjunction with America’s Constitution.  “I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully discharge the duties of my office and that I will protect and defend the Constitution of the United States from all enemies, both foreign and domestic, so help me God.”  When the one line is quickly read - it becomes meaningless if those taking it are not familiar with the Constitution and Bill of Rights. 

This dichotomy was noted decades ago by a young Richard Mack, then a police officer in Provo Utah, unhappy with the task of issuing traffic tickets.  Mack vaguely remember the oath he had taken and signed.  Obtaining a copy of this, he read it and realized he knew nothing about the Constitution and Bill of Rights. 

Years later, Sheriff Richard Mack wrote in his book, “The Proper Role of Law Enforcement”, “In the oath I gave my word and promise to protect and defend and obey the U. S. Constitution and the Utah Constitution as well. I had never read either and knew virtually nothing about them. Sure, I knew the Miranda Warning by heart and a few other Supreme Court decisions, but I had promised to obey the Constitution! All of it! Was my oath solely contingent upon obeying the courts and my sergeant? What if they asked me to do something contrary to the Constitution? For anyone, especially cops or soldiers, to obey an order he or she knows to be unconstitutional or unlawful would be wrong, immoral and an absolute outrage.

            When we raise our right arm and promise to protect and defend the Constitution, does that oath mean only as far as my supervisor or the Supreme Court allows me to? Or does the oath essentially bestow a responsibility on me to know it, study it, cherish it and ultimately defend it even against a well-meaning but misdirected supervisor or judge? I do not pretend to have all the answers, but I do know that the notion that cops should enforce all laws regardless of how abusive, immoral or unconstitutional they are, is dangerous and destructive.”

              The book is, Mack said, short enough to be read by a cop sitting down to have a cup of coffee and a doughnut.  Mack’s instruction on the Constitution and Bill of Rights was obtained from Cleon Skousen, a former FBI agent and former Chief of Police for Salt Lake City who had served in the FBI with Mack’s own father, also an FBI agent.  

              Seeing a course offered in the POST, (Peace Officers Standards and Training), taught by Chief Skousen, he signed up only to have his request denied. Not one to take NO for an answer, he went up the chain of command to the Chief, who told him “Cleon Skousen is not mainstream law enforcement.” Mack took two vacation days and went to the seminar on his own time.

              So, what does it mean to be ‘mainstream law enforcement’, that the police are free to ignore the Constitutional rights of Americans?   This is clearly the case in Connecticut. 

              Note that nothing discussed during the ZOOM conference went to the issue of training police to understand the Constitution and so be able to determine when laws conflict with the rights of Americans, mandated in the Constitution, and Bill of Rights but bodycams were pontificated on and approved as a panacea for checking on the actions taken by police.  But are they?

              One of the issues in Stamford includes the use of bodycams to produce a cover-up video intended to hide how Steven died.  On October 23, 2019, with Steven Barrier safely subdued and in custody by 1:52 AM, October 23, the police were moved to create a video using their own bodycams, which you can view, in toto at the near end of THIS PAGE.   As you look at the bodycams, you see this staged production began at 5:29 AM.  

              What was happening between 1:52 AM and 5:29 AM?  That would be a long coffee break for coffee and a donut.  A lot happened, apparently and we need to know about every second of the time.  

              Watch the Ring.com video evidence from the security camera located on the porch of the home belonging to Valerie Jaddo, Steven’s mother. Beginning at 11:14 PM Oct. 22, 2019 you see Steven enter the home from his job at Boston Market.  This same camera records the visit of Officer Collins at 1:52 AM to inform a woman standing at the door or the home Steven is in custody.  "...they got him."

              Now, look at the timestamps available on the videos, including the Official Police video at the link above.  

              We need answers, meaning a real investigation, which uncovers the facts and makes these available to all of us.  It is time to Take It To The People. 

Steven Barrier - There will be justice.

The expose carried out by John Flynn, who I came to know when he signed up as a candidate for president and with All Presidential Candidate 1:1 Debate Tourney in December 2019.  I am the CEO and Executive Producer for both Debate Tourney and its launching Network, Women Leading Interactive TV Network. 

The website can be viewed at DebateTourney.com. At present, there are 1,151 candidates running for the office of President of the United States. 

 As a journalist, it is necessary to explain why I have personal knowledge of events relating to Flynn and other Debate Tourney candidates for president.  It was through this connection that I became aware of the Steven Barrier Case soon after John Flynn contacted us. 

Because of his persistence and refusal to give up he soon became the voice of last hope for many in a growing area of Connecticut. The Barrier Case was only one of the actions Flynn had taken up which was ignored by authorities.  

Other materials provided to us included the lawsuit Flynn filed on the theft of money from his stock brokering business.  These unlawful actions bankrupted him.  Flynn filed multiple lawsuits, which were summarily ignored by every judicial jurisdiction available to him. 

Through our continuing contact regarding Debate Tourney I was aware Flynn was now working as a handyman to support himself and his two sons while both researching and filing lawsuits and helping those in need. 

Flynn appears to be a devout Catholic and Sundays are dedicated to this and to helping his aging father, John Flynn the 7^th, with whom he has dinner, which he prepares, every Sunday.  I supply these observations, which were confirmed over many calls for the last six months. 

Skeptical, I had asked for documentation of his work, which was forthcoming. 

After agreeing to write an article I interviewed both of Barrier’s parents and his counselor, Elizabeth Greenwood as well as viewing the existing videos of the events; those which had passed through the control of the police had been edited, from which a badly edited alternative had been produced, presumably by someone in law enforcement.

Steven Barrier was a college student, working at Boston Market near his mother’s home, and by reports of those who knew him was handicapped by chronic anxiety and depression.  He was reported by all parties of fearing the police would hurt him.  Steven had no criminal record but he lived in the world we have tolerated.    

Records of these were provided to me.  I suggested he begin making videos of his efforts and, to date, he has had 152 videos posted to his account on Youtube.  One video, 150, was briefly unavailable but can now be viewed. 

 According to Flynn, this was ordered by the FBI, who are now investigating the Barrier Case. 

After Flynn asked me to write an article, I requested documentation on the events of the night of October 22-23 2019, during which Steven Barrier died, tasered to death by local police variously numbering 12 to 15 individuals.   

The story was barbaric and shocking.  Steven Barrier was pursued, fleeing from his home in terror, due to his disability, was tasered on the head, torso and elsewhere for an hour and died in ‘police custody’.

Authorities created a false autopsy.  The real document was released, apparently after a deal had been cut. 

Now, it appears the FBI has launched an investigation which should have taken place during the Obama Administration and into the Trump Administration.   

Other parties, who appear to have been part of the cover-up include Congressman Jim Hines, and all officials in the line of authority, apparently.  Also apparently included in the cover-up is the NAACP and Black Lives Matter (BLM). 

All evidence coming to public light should be viewed this this long delay kept in mind.  Using any matter of justice for political advantage is wrong and violates the intent of a dispassionate system of justice. 

As one person deeply involved, who declined to be identified said, quoting Hines said, “It is too ugly”.  I wonder what Steven Barrier would have felt about that as he lay dying in agony, burned, and treated as an object of amusement by police paid to protect? 

Each of us must decide for ourselves what steps must be taken to ensure the manipulations of those without conscience are ended.  All, each of us, matter.  The time has come to end the divides created to control us. Together, we can rebuild system of justice and an economy which empowers each of us to speak the truth without fear of reprisal and open us to a good and sustainable future. 

This is the first step back to the freedom which is slipping so rapidly from our hands.     

A Self-fulfilling Prophesy or...

“I don’t believe it is possible for the Libertarian Party to use TV”.

There are probably numerous reasons the Libertarian National Committee and Libertarian candidates from local to presidential do not have their own TV shows.  Strangely enough, however, we don’t know what these perceived reasons are because not one Libertarian has returned a call to us in thirty-eight years. 

Libertarians could believe, “TV is too Expensive”; “the liberals who dominate the airways won’t let us on”; “corporate fascist media won’t let us on”; or, “there are no libertarians in media.”  We can’t say because all we ever got was a shuffle off to a functionary who did not return calls or emails. 

We have a list of their names, however.  These are supposed advocates of the free market, who don’t understand competition.

So how did Bill Clinton overturn the most popular (89%) sitting president in history on a budget of $50,000 starting in late March 1992?   Curious?  You are about to find out.

Sometimes these wrinkles in history hold amazing insights.  This is such a wrinkle. 

1992 was the year the most likely Democratic candidates hung back from running because of the awe-inspiring popularity President George H. W. Bush then enjoyed. 

Bill Clinton was a small-time Southern governor with little to recommend him and scandals a plenty back in Arkansas.  One of these had smacked him hard in January, Gennifer Flowers. 

The Emmy-worthy performance of Hillary on 60 minutes, as good as that was, was not good enough to stem the flow of questions and the drop in donations to the Clinton Campaign.    It was looking grim, with Jerry Brown, a late entry, coming up fast. SEE The Real Story (bottom of the page)

Desperate, Clinton’s Media Consultant Frank Greer, received an offer for free satellite time which had come in to the campaign from PhoneVoter TV Network.

Clearly, what Clinton needed was to evade the offer of FREE Satellite Time, which would allow all sorts of embarrassing and fatal comments from those gathered to hear him and respond with phone tallies and interactive voice messages.  So, Bill, pretending to be a fellow named Charles Marcus, who was not involved in politics in any way, but whose name was familiar to everyone, and Greer pumped Brock for information on how to obtain satellite time when their campaign war chest was down to $50,000.

Brock agreed to help them, assuming they intended to use PhoneVoter’s Unedited Presidential Speeches, and taught the two, both entirely ignorant of the realities of TV scheduling, costs, production and using this in conjunction with other technologies everything they needed to know. Clinton learned how to be his own host in a Road Show format in diners across America.  Brock generously told them and went off to find what he learned was the last available Satellite Uplink Truck in the country. 

Brock would receive the contract arrangement fee, through Keystone Satellite Communication, the company also providing the free satellite time to all candidates.  Soon afterward, the truck was toddling along with the Clinton Road Show, the clips sent on to News Directors carefully edited in advance reaching 10-million people per day.  No Interactivity was used.

The US team did so badly that they were called “Soy Sauce Soldiers” by the Chinese. In fact, many never participated in any event and stayed near the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market, where the disease is said to have originated only days after the US left the area.

The US team went home on October 28, 2019, and within 2 weeks, the first human contact cases of COVID 19 were seen in Wuhan. The Chinese have not been able to find “patient zero” and believe he was a member of the US team. MORE

There is no hiding anymore, the United States has become an oligarch owned banana republic with nukes, and with a monopoly currency which has allowed it to rig the markets for half a century. But now we are only a couple of hours from curtain – Midnight in America.

With the stock market at all-time highs, virtually no unemployment (or so they say), and brisk GDP growth (supposedly) in the last decade, economic analysts would declare that the US economy is in excellent shape. But, it isn’t. The stock market is a central bank inflated asset bubble, and what GDP growth there has been, is an illusion brought about by the very same financial bubble and by pumping the economy up with record federal borrowings to finance the deficits that America cannot afford. Rigged statistics showing artificially low inflation serve to hold together the Trumped-up American economic narrative. And the low unemployment figure is nothing but a chimera based on misleading statistics.

In reality, the US economy is failing – and the country with it. At least two-thirds of the population has seen dramatic declines in living standards and half are back to levels of developing nations – without the development.

The big story covered up by all the happy macroeconomic figures repeated by rote by the US establishment – everybody from the president to cable television pundits and Trump fanboys – is the gradual impoverishment of the American worker. That’s an inconvenient truth increasingly difficult to hide as the American dream has turned into a nightmare for huge swathes of the population. As the figures we present below show, the rich are really getting richer, the middle class has been decimated, and half of Americans are poor and destitute of any financial wealth. The super-rich are gobbling up an ever-increasing slice of the American pie at the cost of all the rest who get nothing but table scraps on one side and leftover crumbs on the other, if anything. The resulting stratification of society has brought back a medieval servant economy, where the have-nots are doing odd jobs, cleaning houses, fetching groceries, running errands and deliveries for the feudal rich and the remaining shrinking middle class.

Thanks to the Fed (the American oligarch owned central bank) pushing easy money into the hands of the privileged elite, the super-rich Dismal Decimal – the top 0.1% – have by now amassed as much wealth as they had just before the Great Depression that started with the stock market crash in 1929. A lesson not learned. Back to square one. How will it end this time?

The Tail is Wagging an Enormous Rottweiler as Iowa Approaches, February 3rd

As the Iowa Caucuses approach, March 3rd, the 30 MSM ‘Presidential Hopefuls’ continue to drop, the number of candidates crowded onto stages to exchange sound-bites diminished.  And Americans are still left ignorant that there are 1,013 more candidates, for a total of 1,043! 

Think of this as a poll on the accumulating anger and frustrations Americans are, today, experiencing.

Does the MSM 30 know they have been thrust into the limelight for another Wag the Dog Moment orchestrated by the MSM, party bosses & “reporters”, and those who own the six corporations who own the MSM?  Maybe, and maybe not.  They do know that the Critical Factor for Winning is name identification.  This is what the failure to accurately report the facts makes possible to them.  It is the most important factor if you want to be elected President of the United States.  Because of the way the Mainstream Media decides for you who is a 'serious' candidate, you don’t even know the names of most candidates - and you know nothing about their qualifications for the job of President. Clearly, the general public remains ignorant.  At DebateTourney.com we know this from the expressions of shock as those contacting us read THE CANDIDATE LIST, which we have continued to update for the All Presidential Candidates’ 1:1 Debate Tourney. We have invited them all, 51 have responded to date.  But it is very possible the MSM 30 knew they were ‘the chosen ones’, anointed to vie for the privilege of being hired by the American people for public housing and other benefits next November. 

During the early election season, this became more obvious to the discerning onlooker.  Remember the tumult of rejection from the shrilling nasties when Howard Schultz of Starbucks declared?  Remember the outrage when Tom Steyer announced he would spend half his fortune to ensure Climate Change was taken seriously? 

Both men are billionaires.  But others who are wealthy and should have been noted, starting in 2016, are also running.  One of these is Roque de la Fuente, a billionaire from California.  Roque did not just declare in 2016; he pursued ballot status, spending millions of his own money.  In 2016, Roque came in 2^nd or 3^rd to Hillary Clinton in 28 states; in six states he won nomination through the Reform Party.  You can think of this as the ‘Anybody But Hillary’ Movement which delivered Donald Trump the White House. 

The question of pretending candidates don’t exist, or attacking them when they announce, provides its own answer.  Actions speak louder than words. 

Roque’s platform was clearer than is usual for a presidential candidate.  He is a candidate of color, Hispanic, with a long history of helping others with his own money.  Ask most Americans if they’ve ever even heard of Rocky.  The answer is a resounding NO.

Roque is now suing Donald Trump manipulating the Republican National Committee and its field teams to align only with the Trump field teams to pressure others registered as Republican from running against him. The MSM hasn’t told you there are 157 GOP candidates running, not Fox, not CNN, not NBC. The first line of the lawsuit reads, “1. Joseph Stalin once told his private secretary, “I regard it as completely unimportant who in the party will vote and how, but it is extremely important who will count the votes and how.”  Roque appears to be determined on election and is as willing as Tom Steyer to spend his own money to achieve his goal.
