The
Constitutional Sheriff’s Posse says their goal is to provide improved
force protection, force multiplier and all aspects of security to
constitutional sheriff’s across the country. They claim that they will
respond to requests from any duly elected constitutional county sheriff
across America’s 3,100 plus counties
Your county
Sheriff is what stands between the county residents and government
tyranny. That is why Sheriffs are mentioned in the Constitution, and
also why they are supposed to be elected rather than hired or appointed,
and why they are the highest level of law enforcement in their county.
The
Constitutional Sheriff’s Posse web site points out that the duty of the
county Sheriff is to protect the unalienable rights of everyone in the
county and to refuse to enforce unconstitutional acts, statutes and
actions from ANY level of government. The county Sheriff can even arrest
and jail law enforcement officers from other jurisdictions (yes, even
federal and State) for violating the rights of the people in the county.

of the Constitutional Sheriff’s Posse said “ As Sheriffs
are elected around the country it is so important to vet the candidates
to make certain they know the power and purpose of the position and only
elect those who WILL use that power for that purpose.”

further said ”Unfortunately many Sheriffs either do not know this or
know but do not use the power properly. Now many Sheriffs apparently do
know their power, and we hope one day soon no U.S. Sheriff will ever
participate in any NDAA matters, gun confiscations or Marijuana drug
bust without an Amendment to the Constitution.”
The county
sheriff is ultimately in charge of over all law enforcement operations
in his/her county and bears all responsibility as the highest ranking
elected law enforcement officer in the county. During many situations
deputies can become overwhelmed and the sheriff may need additional
trained and experienced man power to act as the county sheriff’s posse.
County sheriffs have utilized posses for this type of service for
generations. Posses operate under the direction and command of the
sheriff. Crimes, misdemeanors, disasters, public safety, community
events, and keeping the peace have been the traditional role of the
Sheriff. A new threat to our school children/students needs to be dealt
with by county sheriffs as while with specially trained posse members.
As some sheriff’s are currently doing.
New waves
of man-made disasters, crime and danger are assaulting the citizen under
the protection of the Sheriff as well as the very office of the Sheriff
itself. Authorities in some jurisdictions are advocating abolishing the
Office of Sheriff Altogether...
The site points
out and tells Sheriffs that the government may soon use unthinkable
transgressions against their rights with new gun control executive
orders and Obama signing the NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act),
which authorizes the president to detain any person indefinitely without
the right to appear before a judge, nullifying Habeas Corpus.
Unbelievably this takes our rights back to pre Magna Carta days, AD
1215. Romney has said he supports NDAA. The Patriot Act, NDAA, Gun
Control and a host of laws and executive orders, in the name of homeland
security, have stripped our rights and reduced us to a benevolent
dictatorship. Federal warrants have to go through the sheriff’s office.
The sheriffs should make sure they are constitutional. Remember a
constitutional sheriff is a citizen’s advocate and may be the only
protection from the corrupt federal government.
