Update from Roman Buhler on the progress of the Madison Amendment Action
By a vote of 8-4 the Indiana Senate Committee on Rules and Legislative
Procedure today passed SB 224, authored by Indiana Senate President
David Long to limit the authority of delegates to an Article V
Convention and to provide for the replacement of delegates who violated
those limits..
Testifying in support of the bill were Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller, as well as Mike Stern, former Counsel to the House of Representatives, and Roman Buhler, Director of the Madison Coalition.
This legislation is an important step towards empowering 2/3 of the states to safely use Article V to propose or to force Congress to propose an amendment those states want.
